What does a corporate offsite in Dubai actually cost?

Dubai is the default first international offsite for a lot of Indian companies - short flight, no real cultural adjustment, and venue infrastructure that handles large groups without improvising. Here is what it actually costs, including the visa line item most estimates leave out.

Estimated cost by team size - 4★ stay, 2 nights, flights + visa ex-Delhi

9,62,280
64,152 per person
40 people

100 people

The visa cost people forget

The UAE e-visa runs ~₹5,700/person, 30-day for Indian passport holders. That sounds small per head until you multiply it - for a 40-person team it is ₹2,28,000 before anyone has boarded a flight. It is a predictable, budgetable cost rather than a hidden one, but it is the single most common line item missing from back-of-envelope Dubai estimates. Compare that with visa-free destinations like Bangkok, where the same 40-person team pays nothing for entry.

Flights: the nonstop premium is real

The cheapest fares ex-Delhi run ₹27,700 round trip, but those are 1-stop routings. Nonstop via Emirates starts around ₹38,400 - roughly ₹10,700 more per person, or about ₹4.3 lakh extra across a 40-person team. For a 2-night offsite where a layover eats half a day each way, that premium is often worth budgeting for rather than optimising away.

Timing matters more here than most destinations

Dubai runs 25–42°C from March through September - genuinely too hot for outdoor team-building, desert activities, or anything scheduled outside air-conditioning. The usable window is November through February (14–28°C), which is also when hotel rates peak because every other corporate group has worked out the same thing. Booking early matters more in Dubai than in destinations with a longer comfortable season.

Worth comparing: Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi uses the same UAE e-visa, has the same climate window, and runs ₹26,600 round trip - about ₹1,100 cheaper per person than Dubai. Its nonstop option (Etihad, from ₹28,500) is also considerably cheaper than Dubai's. If the offsite is about focused sessions rather than nightlife and shopping, it is a quieter, cheaper version of the same trip.
