Best Time to Visit Dubai

By Amit, who runs Offistrip, a corporate travel and MICE company in India.

Season and weather data here is the same information behind this site's holiday planner - not written once and left to go stale. The savings figure below comes from an actual hotel-price check, not a guess.

The short answer: November through March for comfortable weather. But Dubai has a genuine off-season trade worth knowing about if the heat does not bother you.

Why November to March wins

Dubai runs 14–28°C from November through March - cool & pleasant - best season, genuinely pleasant for walking the old town, desert safaris, or sitting outdoors in the evening. This is also peak season for exactly that reason, so hotel rates and crowds are both at their highest in this window - everyone worked out the same thing you just did.

The trade-off nobody mentions: April to September

From April through September, Dubai runs 25–42°C - very hot, and honestly too hot for a lot of outdoor time. But the city does not close for summer: malls, indoor attractions, and hotel pools are built for exactly this weather, and hotel rates check roughly 49% lower than January for the same room. If your trip is mall, museum, and indoor-attraction heavy anyway, this is a real saving for weather you can simply plan around rather than fight.

Getting there and the visa

Return fares from Delhi start at ₹27,700 on the cheapest routing (~6h); nonstop via Emirates starts around ₹38,400. You'll need an e-visa - ~₹5,700/person, 30-day - a same-day online process, not something that needs weeks of lead time.

Questions

Is Dubai too hot to visit in summer?

Yes, an e-visa - roughly ₹5,700 per person for 30 days. It's a same-day online process, not something that needs weeks of lead time like a sticker visa.
